(Way) South of the Border
Good Mexican eats are rare, which explains why neophyte West End Lolita's (1326 Davie St., 604.696.9996) was an instant hit. This bubbly room with not a piñata in sight serves up Mexican, other Latin and Caribbean small plates with lively libations. Drop by for a late-night drink or hunker down for seriously good, slow-roasted brisket taquitos or fish moqueca. Or just sip on a paraiso, a seductive concoction of lychee liquer, vodka, guava and white cranberry juice.
